Odaban
Odaban is the number one choice of Hyperhidrosis treatment and is one of the few to come in the form of a spray, rather than a roll on. At first this might not seem like much but it is an advantage as it keeps the treatment more hygienic than a roll on counterpart. This is because you do not need to touch sweaty skin with the product, which not only can make a roll on less effective, but when sweat gets onto a roll on it can increase the chances of skin irritation as the product’s main ingredient breaks down. Therefore, Odaban will hopefully be less likely to cause soreness or irritation, which is always a good thing! It has been around since 1970 and proven to be the most effective treatment for excessive sweating.
As Odaban comes in a spray form you can easily apply it to underarm areas, as well as any other part of your skin (including sensitive and intimate areas). You should use cotton wool to apply the product to your face, groin or bottom as oppose to spraying it on. Odaban is safe to use anywhere on your skin, compared to other treatments which can just be limited to underarms. This makes Odaban one of the most multi-purpose treatments available.
A common question for extreme suffers is, can I get a stronger product from my doctor? Odaban is a recognised by the NHS and commonly prescribed by doctors. Some people have health concerns, as the main ingredient is Aluminium Chloride. There are some myths floating around that these products can cause Alzheimer’s disease, but these are entirely untrue. Odaban, and other Hyperhidrosis treatments which use Aluminium Chloride, are not absorbed into the body due to the treatments high astringency formulation, they merely work on the surface of the skin. This means that you can safely use this product during pregnancy or during breast feeding.
Odaban does not require a prescription and can be bought in health product shops. It is quite expensive on the highstreet, so I would recommend buying it online as it is a lot cheaper and it may save any embarrassment!
